Buscarino Cabaret Nylon

$9,699.00

A beautifully built Buscarino Cabaret, designed as a crossover between a traditional classical guitar and a modern acoustic instrument for jazz and fingerstyle players.

The Cabaret is based around classical construction principles but adds several features that make it considerably more versatile for contemporary playing. The single Venetian cutaway provides easy access to the upper register, while the tapered body depth keeps the guitar comfortable and responsive. One of the standout features is its carved East Indian rosewood back, an unusual construction choice for a nylon string guitar that contributes additional projection and presence through the lower mids.

This example features a spruce top with East Indian rosewood back & sides, paired with a one piece quarter sawn Honduras mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. The 25.5" scale and adjustable truss rod give it a familiar, comfortable feel while retaining the character and response expected from a high end nylon string instrument.

An L.R. Baggs pickup system makes the Cabaret equally useful amplified, whether for live jazz, fingerstyle, recording or performance work.

Buscarino instruments are individually built by John Buscarino, whose background includes work with classical builder Augustine LoPrinzi and renowned archtop builder Robert Benedetto. The Cabaret is a particularly interesting example of his approach, combining elements of classical guitar construction with ideas normally associated with boutique archtops.
